From the first steps of freedom
to the giant leaps of this age.
Our heroes protect us
from tyranny and rage
The nameless masses
who defend our shores
they have rescued the suffering
they have fought in our wars
Be it Army or Navy
Marines or Air Force
From the Declaration of Freedom
through all July 4ths.
They are our Veterans
from which we draw strength
They've given beyond measure
No matter the journey's length.
So today and all days
No matter your view
Honor our veterans
For all that they do.
